CHARGE OF ASSAULT.
4 (Bj Tclejrmh.-Pross Asuoclatlon.t Gisborne, December 15. At the Police Court this morning, William Brown, a labourer, who severely assaulted Thomas Fitzgerald about ten clays ago over a dispute as to how much the latter owed him for meals paid for in Chi'istchnrch, pleaded guilty, and was committed to tho Auckland Supremo Court for sentence. Bail was allowed m .£IOO and two sureties of JSO.
