MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL.
4 ' The ordinary meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last evening. The Mayor (Mr. J. Brodie) presided, and there were also present: Councillors Richards, Telford, Bell, Stone, Bowie, and Laurenson. The engineer reported that the principal work during tho past three woelca had been the laying of the Miramar Avenue tramway. The wort was commenced on November 27, and the formation had been excavated to tho proper level, and the shingle ballast spread. Tho metalling of the south side of Broadway from Princess Street to Monorgan Road was now completed, and was ready for rolling and blinding. During tiio coming month these works would be finished. It was dccided to submit to tho ratepayers proposals for the raising of a special loan ..of ,£10,700 for the electrio power supply and light undertaking, and a special loan of ,£7300 for the undertaking to provide tramway cars and carshed—£lß,ooo in'all.' •
