When he retired from the sea, Captain Allman became nautical adviser to the Government, but took up seafaring life again later, and subsequently had charge of the coastal' steamer Manaroa. TAHITI ARRIVES AT 8.30 A.M. ; Messages received from,the Union Companys R.M.S. Tahiti yesterday intimate that the vessel will make port at 8.30 a.m. to-day.
