The cotton operatives' executive has authorised the workpeople at the Nelson mill to.tender notices of their intention to strike to-day, owing to tho employment of a non-unionist.' The executive-', arowa its intention of taking similar action in' other mills.

The Masters' Federations, employing 160,000 operatives, have accordingly given notice that after December 20 all operatives will be liable to dismissal without notice. It is understood that only one employee at the Kelson mill now refuses to join tho union.
