RAGGED SCHOOL UNION.
Last evening, at the Y.M.C.A., Sir John Kirk delivered nn address to n very attentive audience on the Ragged School Union, London, fle first explained tho objects of tho union, and then wont on to describe its various activities. He mentioned that; thousands of children wern taken out. into the country for a fortnight's holiday, and a majority of these had never previously seen green grass or flowera. The most pathetic part of the union's, work was amongst the cripples. Those cripples who were ablo to work were (anght rnrious trades, and that tended to mnko them not quite so dependent on their parents or on the community. The female cripples were put to sewing and making flowers, while those who wore totally unable to work were passed on to various institutions.
