Mr. Fraser, Federal Postmaster-Gen-eral, announced in tho House of Representatives that after protracted negotia:ions the Government had been unable io arrive at a position justifying the payment for patent rights to cither tho Jfar:oni or tho Xelefunken wireless system?, riio urgency of establishing wireless ielegraphy would not justify the Government in delaying any longer, and it iniendod to erect stations round the coast, jeginniug at Melbourne, then at Hobart, md also to connect Port Moresby either ivith Cooktown or Thursday Island. As :he Government might bo compelled to lefend the system, which was named The Commonwealth," its expert would register it. If it was found that it infringed other systems, the Government ivould accept the responsibility for paynent for such infringements. A NEW LAW SUIT. London, December 8.
