MR. TANNER AT. FEATHEBSTON. There was a moderate attendance at the iown J-laJj, Vcatlierston, on Monday ovening, when Mr. C. W. Tanner addressed the electors.. Ho claimed to be tho onlv candidate for tho Wairarapa who gave mifiualifaed support, to tho present Government. Ho stated that Jlr. Hornsby must he described as an Independent, and that Air. liuchanan was "ou the wrong side of tho fence." Tho speaker favoured tho lrcehold tenure, national defence, and a hwto note issue. Ho.was accorded a vote ot thanks.
