A conference representing 100,000 Yorkshire trade unionists at Bradford protected against the attempt to repeal the Trades Disputes Act ami condemned ihe use of tho military' in strikes and tho establishment of the proposed constabulary. ■ Tho speakers declared that tho repeal of ihc Act would result in a revolution for tho railwaymcu would immediately strike. It was suggested that members belonging to tho Territorial force should resign and -workmen should refuse lo join the Anuy; if workingrmpn kept their sons out of thft Army the ruling classes would bo beaten.
