SOMETHING T'o SAY IN A DAY OK TWO. (By TelegraD'n.-Preaß Association.) Christchurch, November 20. Speaking at the laying of tho foundation stone of the new Departmental Buildings the Premier said be had been talking in the south for the last ten days or so, beginning sometimes at 9.30 a.m. and finishing at midnight. He had hail a very happy time indeed. He was not going, to say a word on this occasion which might offend anyone, but in the course of a day or two ho would refer to some of the funny incidents which bad been taking place recently in his own electorate. It had required a special train and 500 people to be imported to convey the impression that the people of his electorate were iu doubt about him. On the evening of December 7 they would have the answer lo all these little workei!up political tricks and tarradiddles which were intended to mislead the public in distant parts. (Applause.)
