SLANDER ACTION IN SYDNEY. By TelecTarh—Press Association-Copyrieht (Rec. November 20, 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, November 20. Mr. Meagher, Chairman of Committees in the State Assembly, is claiming ,t2OOO damages against Colonol Onslow, another member of the Assembly, for alleged slander during the Liverpool Plains byelection campaign. It is complained that the defendant at a public meeting said the Labour Party selected a criminal as Chairman of Committees. The caso is proceeding.
