Mr. J. Ilott, who has been invalided since the end of September through influenza of a specially severe type, is now able to get out again a little on fine days. Black, who has been investigating tho possibilities of electric traction in Palniorstou North during the present iveek, returned to town yesterday. Mr. Hanrish Wilson, eldest sou of Sir. .T. G. At tho Auckland Methodist District Synod on Wednesday, reference was made to tho fact that the dislinirnitiliod evn/iL'cllsts, Dr. Wilbur Chapman oiul Mr. Clms. Mr. M Donald was formerly a member of die Abericldy Pipe Band, which won the championship of Scotland, and pipc- »'«' of the sth (Volunteer) Battalion, Black Watch. He also holds several New Zealand awards.
