SUNDAY SCHOOL UNIONS.
Mr. Newton. Jones, missioner of the Sunday School Union at Home, was farewelled at tho Vivian Street Sunday Schoolroom last evening. There was a good attendance, and Mr. H. D. Grocott occupied tho chair. Mr. Jones has recently been throughout the Dominion, furthering the interests of Sunday School work. Tho Sunday Schools at Invorcargill, Oamaru, Christchnrch, Waihi, and Napier have signified their intention of forming unions. Both tho Waliganui and Palmorston North Unions have also been strengthened by Mr. Jones's visit. Mr. Jones leaves for South America to-day, whero ho is to carry out similar work. For tho last twenty-ono years ho has been missioner for tho Sunday School Union at Home. Some time ago he was granted leave of absence from his English missionary work, with a view to bringing tho various unions of tha Dominions into closer touch with the parent union at Home.
