Captain Balfour, master of tho steam comer Derwcnt, has been found responsible for tho collision with tho ferry boat Juakia, and lias been ordered to show cause why his certi6cate should not be suspended. [Tho collision occurred on tho evening of October 25. The ferry boat's lights were extinguished, and the large crowd of passengers on board wcro almost in a state of panic. The passengers were transferred to another ferry boat. Tho damage was not serious.]
