In the Assembly, Mr. M'Uowen, the Premier, in a statement in reference io Iho Wade incident, practically admitted that the Government was powerlos>. He intended to introdueo as early as possible legislation so that tho House might defend itwlf against attacks Hko thoso of Mr. Wade's, tho same as existed in the House of Commons and tho Parliament of Victoria. Mr. Wade reiterated that it was no use pursuing a futilo course, and advised Mr. M'Gowen (o have tho common sense to drop it. Ho challenged Mr. M'Gowen to follow up last night's action by tabling a. motion which was usually brought forward in snch cases. The Houso then proceeded to regular business. Sydney, November IG. Tho Government took no further action against Mr. Wade. In reply to Mr. Wade's question as to whether ho was going to proceed on a motion for suspension or expulsion, Mr. M'Gowen said, "Wait and see."-
