On Saturday an attempt was made to launch two lifeboats. Both were smashed.

THE STEAMER ROSEDALE. Sydney, November 15. Wreckage, identified as belonging to tho steamer Eosedale, has been found at Bcga, 400 miles south of where, the vessel was supposed to have foundered. i Tho Eosedalo was lost in September, whilst off the coast of New South Wales. FIRE ON A STEAMEE. London, November 14. A fire occurred on tho steamer Wentworth (belonging to tho Dalgleish S.N. Company, Dover). Pour Chinese members of tho crew, who were under tho influence of opium, woro suffocated.

NO CHANCE OF SALVAGE. (Eec. November 15, 9.25 p.m.) Adelaide, November 15. The rocket brigado has returned from the scene of tho wreck of tho Margit, and report that the hull is ten feet deep in sand, and siuking. There is practically no chanco of salvage.
