GOULBURN TRAGEDY.
THE IKQUEST. By Teleeraph—Pre33 Aesociation-Copyrleht Sydney, November 8. At aa inquest concerning the death at Goulburn, from gunshot wounds, of a farmoT named Broderick, the widow stated that deceased had been drinking hcavity, had assaulted her and her daughter, and threatened to shoot them. Her son rescued them. Broderick then got a rifle and two guns, and loaded them, saying he would shoot tlio police, who had been sent for. The son snatched the weapons and ran away. Broderick pursued him; suddenly there was a flash and Broderick fell. The 1 son threw himself on his father and asked his forgiveness. Broderick replied: "I forgive you; it was not your fault."
[Tho father in his dying depositions admitted that the son frred at him in selfdefence. The son is under arrest on a charge of murder.]
