SENIOR PENNANTS POSTPONED. Only one of the Senior Pennant matches (first game of first round) was played on Saturday. Owing to the rain which fell softly, but persistently, throughout the greater part of the forenoon, bowlers took it for granted that there would bo no ploy. The exception was the game l:e----tiveen the Wellington and Newtown Clubs, in which Wellington was defeated by seven points on the aggregate. Churchward, thanks to his own good play, managed !o tie with Brackenridge (20 all), liallinger (Wellington) matched against the Newtown veteran, George Prince, won with a margin of 10 points. Ball (Wellington) was 0 down to Wyllie (Newtown), and Webb (Wellington) was 8 down to Prince (Newtown). The postponed Senior and Junior Pennant matches will he played on Saturday nest. Victoria Club.
