STRIKE EXTENDS.
SYDNEY WATERSIDE DISPUTE. DEEPSEA MEN DECIDE TO COME OUT. COMPLETE BLOCK FEAREDBy Tclenrapli—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, November 2. Tho wharf labourers, at a mass meeting last night, decided to extend tho striko to tho deep-sea wharves. Tho decision was arrived at by an almost unanimous vote. It came'as tho greatest surprise to the shipowners, it being generally thought tho striko was unpopular with all but a small section of tho men.
When they emerged from tho meeting tho men wero evidently greatly excited. Many rushed out, repeatedly crying "No work!"
Tho officials quickly dispersed, declining to give tho press any information. Tho men wero not so reticent. It is stated that for its casual work the shipowners can afford to pay.
