CHARGES OF ADMISSION. Id.; adult's (singlo admission), lid.; child's monthly ticket.. Is. Gd.; adult's 15-elip ticket, 2s, Gd.i child's yearly ticket, ss. j adult's yearly ickct, 'lOs. ad.; family yearly ticket, .£1 lis. Gd. All tickets exccpt tho family ticket to bo non-transferable, and available for the season of issue only. Councillor Fuller moved that tho schedule be amended, so that an adult's thirty-clip ticket should cost 2s. Gd., and (hat a child's (.ingle admission ticket should be Jd. 'l'hi's was seconded by Councillor Fitzgerald.
In order that councillors should know what the financial position war., tho Mayor stated Hint the takings la-si. year at To Aro wcro .CIKO IK Bd,, at Thorodoa JIUli Is. Bd., tnLil X7CO lis. 4d. 'JHic expenditure at To Aro was £713 ISs. Od., at Thorndon JJIPS 7s. Id., so that tho loss was, £142 14s. fid., including £300 spoilt .an extending tho dressing-sheds, lie thought that the loss was anything but heavy for such an institution. Councillor M'Larcn was in favour of tho amendment. He thought that tho council could not >lo too much in oiicouraging ono of tho "cleanest" snorts that existed. Councillors Fleleher and Barber expressed similar views, while Councillors M'Kcnzie, Cameron, and Trevor spoko against it. The amendment was lost, the votinjj being: Ayes, 7; Noes, 8. Tho motion was then carried.
