EXTENSION PROBABLE. "WE WILL ALL BE OUT TO-MORROW." By Telecraph-' Press Association—Copyright (Roc. November 2, 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, November 1. Tlie strike outlook is less hopeful. A HULSS meeting of wharf labourers, inr eluding tho deep sea section, lasted to n vory lato hour. Tho press woro not admitted, and everybody concerned was extremely reticent and would discloso nothing definite. There is reason, however, to believe that the troublo will bo extended to tho deep sea section, and thsy will possibly bo out to-morrow. Tho men on leaving the meeting were in high spirits. One declared, "Wo will all bo out to-morrow."
Tho Union linor Maheno took very littlo cargo for Auckland. Tho officers and crow of tho s"teamer Karitanc bto discharging her cargo of lead.
Sydney, November 1. It is expected that tho wharf labourers will decide to resume work.
At to-night's meeting, it was stated that they had not fully realised the legal aspect when they struck.
NO FEDERAL JURISDICTION. Melbourne, November 1. In reply to questions in tho Federal House, Mr. Hughes, Federal AttorneyGeneral, declared that he could not prosecute the Sydney strikers, as the trouble was confined to one State.
Under the Constitution, the Commonwealth can only intervene "for the prevention and settlement of industrial disputes extending boyond the limits of anv one State.
