CHILD FATALLY SCALDED. The Wellington police department has beon advised from Eketahuna that Nellie Nicol, three years of age, was accidentally scalded at Niheaha on October 28. and that the child died yesterday. An inquest will bo held to-day.

PICKED UP ON THE QUAY. Late last night George Gunter, a single man, supposed' to be employed in tho country, was picked up in Lambton Quay in a semi-conscious condition. Hβ was taken to the hospital.
