RETAIL FRUITERERS.
Members of tho Retail Frnitoiera" Association, met yesterday. Tho meeting carried tho following resolution:—That an association be formed to protect the interests of the fruit and vegetable trade.; with the following objects:—(l) To bring producer and retailer into closer touch; (2) to stop the practice of fixing a price for produce, instead of offering by auction; (3) to break down any system which importers, brokers, ov others may form for regulating or restricting public salos. The following officers were elected t— President, Mr. 'Barge; vice-president, Chung Wah; treasurer, Mr. Jones, jun.; secretary, Mr. G. H. Gray. A committee-was formed to frame rules, and this meeting adjonrned for fourteen, days. L
