WATCHMAN GOLDMINIKG CO. Tho report of the mine manager of the Watchman Goldmining Co. for the' week ended-October 7 is.as follows:-City of Duncdin Reef.—This face has been advanced an additional 19 feet, making a total of 116 feet from the main drive. This face Iras been penetrating a firmer class of quartz, which has retarded progress somewhat, Although no gold has been seen in tuo stone, all the indications, including sulphides, which have very seldom failed to accompany tho precious metal, are to be found when broken. Sunbeam Low Level.— This face has been advanced 28 feet with three shifts, making a total of 420 feet to date, which has also, been checked owing to the Sunbeam Heef referred to in my last report altering its course slightly. Oi this the whole ore portion has come into the drive, and is at .present being broken. The quartz for the last few feet has been heavily charged with minerals of a good quality, with a band of sulphides running on the hanging wall, in which a few colours of coarse gold were seen on Saturday, October 7. This ore is being saved for treatment. Owing to the drive now being taken out in the reef, it is necessary to break quartz at each hole fired, thero being approximately 63 feet to connect these two levels. Windfall I'eef—Two men have been engaged advancing this face on the footwal), there being no rhango to report in comparison with the previous week.
