HOW THE STREAM MIGHT BE DOUBLED. By Tcleffraph-Prcss Association-CoDyrleht London, October 5. Anglo-Australians in London gave a farewell to Mr. P. Hunter, the director of the New South Wales Immigration Bureau. Mr. Hunter, responding, said that if the Australian Governments cared to mako lengthy contracts for shipping accommodation the number of assisted emigrants would bo quickly doubled. Experience had proved that tho passage rates to New South Wales secured ample applicants. He hoped tho Premiers' Conference would adopt that rate, and stop rate-cutting. • ARTISANS FOR VICTORIA. Melbourne, October 6. The Victorian Government is sending delegates to England to arrange, for tho importation of artisans.
