THE GRADING KETUBNS. The number of bales of hemp graded at tho various ports of (ha Dominion during September was 6510. .as against 6171 for the corresponding month last year, an iucrease of 236' bales.' For tho twelvo months' ended September 30 the number of bales graded was 98,327, as against 120,416 for tho previous twelve months, a decrease of 28.059 bales. During '.ho month 154' J. bales of hemp wore, dealt with, as compared with 1627 for the corresponding months last year, a decrease of 78 bales.
In all, 100 bales of hemp were graded fine, 2601 good-fair, 3638 fair, CG common, nnd 75 - rejected. Tho figures for the AVollington district supplies were-.—Fox-ton, 60. tine, 1324 good-fair, 1678 fair, -16 common,. 1 rejected; AVellington, 40 fine, 1177 good-fair, 1535 fair, 1!) common and 74 rejected.
In tow, roxton showed 450 first grade, 335..second-grade, and 37 third grade. Tho Wellington figures iv.ero 23i> first grade 331 second grade, 122 third grade, and 3 condemned. .
