Mr. Di.ion, secretary of the Federated Ironworkers' Union, who was sentenced oa September 19 to two months' imprisonment in connection with the Lithgow strike, was released by Mr. Holmau, State Attorney-General, and Minister for Justice, oa Saturday last. CoinciuentiLlly, Mr. HoLrnan left for his week-end holiday. ' The "Herald" suggests that Mr. Holman oscorted Mr. Dixon to Lithgow to make sure of his safe return. The "Herald" procoeds:—"The extraordinary effrontery of Mr. Holman's action in liberating Mr. Dixon passes comprehension. The laws aro operative only when it pleases tlio Minister for Justice. Why should there be any laws at all p Let' us hare straight-out anarchy; let us bo henest." I . 'I I
