4 WELLINGTON BOARD OF. MANAGERS. The monthly meeting of tho "VVollinpton Technical Education Board was hold last evening, there being present: Tho Chairman (.Mr. I). Robertson), and Messrs. D. M'Laren, M.l'., J. E. Fitzgerald, G. Frost, .1. G. W. Aitken, J. Smith, anil Win. Allan. Tho financial statement disclosed a credit balance of £712, as against Jili.'iS i(is. Sd. for the corresponding period of tho previous year. The resignation of Miss M. W. Kimbell, of Uks arts teaching stall', was accepted. The Director (Mr. La Trobe) expressed his regret at the loss of Miss Kimbell's services. lie recommended that certain of tho moro advanced work bo transferred to Sir. Richardson's classes; that Miss 13. llickson (at present holding a part-time appointment) bo appointed foi full time at J!1:!0 a year; and that Miss Lena Williamson, one of tho students, 1)0 appointed to assist with tho elementary work, for 7} hours weekly, at X3O pea - annum. Tenders for supplies for tho year ended August 31, 1912, wore accepted as under :— Searle, Joy and Co.: Typewriter ribbons, Yost pads, Gestetnor stencils, ink, and silk sheets. Ferguson and llicks: Foolscap, al>sorbent typing paper. Whitcombo and Tombs: Foolscap paper blajik. school ink; blotting paper, library books, whito and coloured crayons. Turnbull, Hickson and Gooder: Pnnting and binding. Smith and Smith, Ltd.: Art supplies. M'Leod, Weir and Hopkirk: Timber. A. and T. Burt, Ltd.: Sheet lead, lead pipe, coinpo pipe, tin, gunmctal and brass casting. T. Ballinger and Co.: Copper and brass, sheet and wire white metal castings. T. Ballinger and Co.: and A. and T. Burt, Ltd. Purchase of waste lead, alternately (tenders of each boing equal).
