fr_ THE GOVERNOR'S APPRECIATION. From Government House comes the following appreciation of the cadet review at Newtown Park on Dominion Day:— "lam directed by the Governor to convey to all the officers and cadets present on parade at tho Newtown Park on Dominion Day an appreciation of tho smart appearanco of tho boys. His Excellency was impressed by tho admirable manner in which the parade movements were carried out.—A. Guise,< Private Secretary." Prom the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) :- "I desiro to express my appreciation of the demonstration by the senior and junior cadets at Newtown Park yesterday afternoon, in connection with tho Dominion Day celebrations. Tho lads bore themselves in a most soldierly manner throughout the proceedings, their appearance on parade and tho manner in which they executed the various movements retlecting creditably on their officers and themselves. The demonstration was a notable one, well litting the occasion, and I shall bo glad if you will accept and convey to all ranks my thanks for a very interesting parade." Prom Cadet Headquarters:—Tho Commandant of the Junior Cadets wishes to place on record his appreciation of tho excellent muster at the Dominion Day cadet review, in spite of the threatening weather conditions, and to express his satisfaction with the steadiness of tho ranks on parade generally, and tho smartness of tho march past in particular.
