September 24, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, September 23. ■ The Hawkesbury Raciug Club's spring meeting took place to-day, and the competitors included a. mimbet of New Zealand horses. Tho following are some of the results:— HAWKESBURY HANDICAP. One mile and 100 yds. Mr. P. Nolan's br. b. Britain, by Grafton (imp.)— Bright Alice, Gyre. 1' Sandbath (imp.) 2 Flaxen 3 Nino started. Mr. E. J. Watt's Wimmera was among tho unplaced division. Won by half a length. Time, 2min. Msec. In the Plying Handicap Chaste was unplaced. hi thn Park Stakes, Mr. F. Leslie's Irritalion finished out of a place. Asnhaea (Stepniak—Britomart) finished third in the Ilighweight Handicap, ono mile, behind Lager.and Santiago. BANDIEEA SCRATCHED. Sydney, September 23. Bandiera has been scratched for all his engagements.
