The Danish barqueutino Carla etill lies in tho same position, and, so far, has sustained no' damage, but a quantity of water has found its way into tho hold through tho open hatches. Nothing as yet has been decided in regard to refloating, pending instructions from (he vessel's owners in Denmark. Tho eca now is perfectly smooth. When driving ashore, the vessel drifted across tho lino of tho Wanganui-Waka-puaka cable, and it was feared that her anchors might have fouled or damaged it.
