A number of interesting exhibits have been added to the collection which the Manawatu Philosophical Society is collecting for its museum. Among them is ? t ve , r - v , a » c M sewing-machine, contributed by Mrs. eckes. There is no date on the machine, but it has been in Mrs \\eekess family for over forty vears. Mrs. Wcekes also gavo the museum six ancient silver and copper coins. . "Reality and the Beast" was staged at bt. Peters Schoolroom last night bv a number of young people.
