STILL ANOTHER PICTURE . THEATRE. Wellington is to be liberally supplied with picture theatres. There are now four permanent picture houses in Wellington, four more will be in existence within six months, and there is la'k of still another proposed to be erected in the Thorndon district. The latest to bo announced is the Bijon Picture Theatre, uhk'h is being evolved out of the Kops' Ale Brewery building—a substantial brick structure in Ingest re Street, near Vcitch and Allan's corner, and within fifty yards of a busy tramway section terminus. Tho work of transforming the building into a theatre suitable for tho exhibition of moving pictures has been entrusted to Messrs. Sanders Bros., who hope to have Iho place ready for business at tho end of next week. The new theatre, which will scat between 4CO and 500 people, will have a dross circle, to be fitted with comfortable upholstered seats, whilst the seating accommodation down below will take (he form of wooden tip-up-seals. There will bo separate entrances from tile Ingestre Street frontage to the dress circle and auditorium proper, and ample exits will be provided bv several doors opening on to a broad right-of-way o.n the eastern side of the theatre. The sealing accommodation is so devised that a lull view of the scree-,a will bo obtainable from every sent in this cosy little theatre. Mr. C. A. ITiokey is (he managing director of the new venture.
