Tho Maharajah of Cooch Behar, who was a visitor to tho Coronation and .was seized with illness in July, is dead. Colonel his Highness Sir Nripendrn Narayan Bhup Bahadur, Maharajah of Cooch behar, G.C.1.E., C.8., ruled over an area of 1307 square miles with a population of something over half a million. Ho was born in 1802 and succeeded his father in the following year. Ho is an honorarv colonel of cavalry and an honorary aide-de-camp to the King. As a cavalry officer he saw some active service with tho ICohat and Tirah expeditions, and in 1909 wrolo a book on "Thirty-seven Years of Big Gamo Shooting."
