Vegetables.—Heavy supplies , of cauliflowers are now coming forward, and prices are easier, ruling from 2a. to 6s. bd. per sacl;, according to quality; prime cabbaces have improved in value, and aro now worth sa. to 6s. 6d. per sack. Colery, choico white is in excellent demand, and consignments are recommended. Much larger supplies of rhubarb are now coming: in from tho Hutt, and prime quality is bringing from 6s. to to. per dozen. Uew potaioes are somewhat easier, at 3d. to 3£d. per lb. for good quality. Greon peas aro coming in weekly from Nelson, and prices range from Js. to 3s. 6d. per peck lor prime quality.

Fruit.—Tho Ulimaroa is duo from Sydney to-day with tho usual weekly shipment of passion fruit, mandariuw, oranges, pineapples, and lemons. The iloaaa from Hobart is due on Friday with further consignments of Tasmaaian apples. Tho Aorangi from San Francisco and tho Cook Islands landed a nice shipment of bananas, Oalifornian apples, and onions. Tho oranges which arrived by this vessel woro landed in bad order. Butter—A good demand exists for prime, in bulk, at Is. per lb. Cheese.—Best factory is now quoted at 6-d.. with loaf a,t 7d. Fresh eggs are in short supply now, and arc quoted at Is. Lard.—The market is steady, bulk, Bd.; pats. Bid. per lb. Margarine.—Australian manufacture, Bid. per lb. for-bulk, and 9d. for pats. Kama and bacon meet with fair demand. Hides, Bjd. per lb.; rolls, 9id.; hams, 9d. PouUry.-ConsiEnmcnts are recommended. Hens, <s. to ss. per pair: cockerels, sa. to 6d.; ducks, ss. to 65.; turkey gobblers, Bd. to 9d. per lb. live weight: hens, 6d. to 7d. Baled hay i 3 dull of sale. Meadow, £i ss. to £4 10s. nor ton; clover, £5 10s. to £6. Baled straw is in 6trong demand at 60s. to 655. Fowls' barley is dull of sale, at 3s. 3d. to 3s. 4d. per bushel. Onions.—Californian are realisine; 12s. 6d. per cwt., while Victorian, of poor quality, are soiling at 7s. Potatoes havo declined a further ss. per ton, (,'ood table potatoes being now worth 70s. to 75r.. per ton. Eicomca.l meets with a. moderato demand at £4 155., whilo riccflour is quoted at £5 15s. Oatmeal.—Tho quotation continues at £15 per ton es store. Wellington. Rolled oats are in steady demand at 9s. 6d. to 10s. per dozen. Oats ars now quoted at 3s. per husbel f.o.b. south for "A" grade, ar.d there are prospects of higher prices ruling. Fairly heavy quantities are being imported from Victoria.
