THE LEVIN FATALITY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
Levin, September 18. ;At tho inquest on .Sarah Gyles, a verdict was returned of accidentia death. She had Leon in a precarious state of health for some time past, and the shock of ing thrown from the trap caused Iter death. Tho motor-car mentioned in connection with tho case was proved to bo going' slowly when it passed the trap. Tho horse became frightened, and the driver pulled it almost at right angles across the road, which action precipitated both tho occupants from the vehicle. ■ THESE PUNY GUNS. Wsnganui, September IS. Tho deadly pea riilo was in evidence •again yesterday. A young fellow, Hubert AVhite, ased 17, was admitted to tho hospital suffering from a gunshot wound in tho chest,. It seems that,when ont shooting, at 'Aramoho yesterday he put his, pea ride on tho ground with the muzzle pointing towards (lis chest, when by some inexplicable means the gun went oil'. Tho wound is in a serious position, but there is no great danger at present, though the bullet has not yet been extracted,
