H. B. IRVING.

COMING TO NEW ZEALAND. A private letter received in Wellington from Mr. Hugh J. Ward, managing director of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., states that arrangements have been made for Mr. H. B. Irving, the famous English actor, to visit Now Zealand about Christmas time. Mr. Irvine, whose performances have aroused enthusiasm in Sydney and Melbourne, is one of England s leading classic actors, and many critics agree that ho has inherited the histrionic genius of his father, the late Sir Henry Irving. In Australia he has appeared in "Hamlet," "The Lyons Mail," and "Louis XI" with marked success.
