: « THE NEWTOWN CLUB. Tho opening day of the Newtown Club has been fixed for Saturday, October 7. A ballot for new members will bo held between i and 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 23. During the winter recess tho club buildings hare been renovated and painted, and within tho pavilion a new nest of lockers has been built and other minor improvements carried out. The whole of the lccker-fronts have been grained by Sir. S. Boberts gratuitously, and other members have lent valuable assistance.
