At tho annual meeting of the Halaitai Bowling Club, tho chairman (Mr. J. W. Kinuiburgh) stated that tho green was in.splendid OTder, and every effort would be-'i'made-j.to maintain its present condition. Praise was duo to tho ladies who had so kindly provided afternoon tea. Ho hoped that all would combine in helping tho club to a sound financial position in increasing the membership from 84 (as at present) to 100. Officers were elected as follow:—President, Mr. ]?. Laurenson; hon. secretary, Mr. J. L. Arcus; hon. treasurer," Mr. J. \V. Kinniburgh. Messrs. Smith, Pryor, and Laurenson were elected to fill tho vacancies on the directorate. It was decided that the annual subscription be .£3 35., to be reduced to .£2 2s. if paid before November 30, or one month from the time of new members joining tho club. Mr. Mitchell was appointed solo selector of teams.
