AN ILL-FATED VESSEL.
PAPANTJI IN TROUBLE AGAIN. By Telegraph-Press Association-Oopyrieht St. Holena, September 12. The steamer Papanui arrived here with her bunkers afire. Tho emigrants havo been landed and tho cargo is now being discharged. The officers and crew were occupied for fivo days in extinguishing a first firo in the bunkers. Another firo broke out after passing St. Helena, upon which tho captain decided to return. Tho vessel is moored closo to shore. The male emigrants nre,housed in tho barracks, and the women in the military hospital.
