' LOCAL GOVERNING BODY. 1 A meeting of the committeo of the Wellington Boxing Association was hold last evening. Mr. E. Blundell occupied tho chair, and tho following were present:-— Messrs. J. S. Day, E. Samson, H. D. Smith, W. A. Pordhara, J. E. Staples, B. H. Guise, ami W. G. Talbot (secretary). It was reported that tho New Zealand Council had. sanctioned the contest. between Hnrman and Tracy for the lightweight championship of New Zealand, on September 22. It'was decided that Ellis should bo permitted to meet Leckie at Dunodin on October 31. Tracy. is to meet Kelly at the same time. The meeting decided to match Ellis with Treweok or Ilovill, of Palmerstou North, for a preliminary contest on September 22.
