Tho "Lokal-Anzicgcr" declares that Great Britain will be- called on to account for riding rough-shod over Germany's treaty rights with Morocco. BIG INSURANCES EFFECTED. (Rec. September 7, 9.35 p.m.) London, September 1) The underwriters at .Lloyd's havo accepted a rate of 12 per centum on big insurances to pay the loss in tho event of an outbreak of war between two or three specified European Powers before 1912. GERMAN NAVY LEAGUE APPEAL. Berlin, September 6. The German Navy Leaguo has abandoned the reserve it has maintained (luring tho Moroccan crisis, and is now. vigorously appealing for tho strengthening of the German naval position. RUN ON THE STETTIN BANK. (Rec. September 8, 0.35 a.m.) Berlin, September 7. The run on the Stettin Savings Bank continues, and tho withdrawals total .£75,000 sterling. Yesterday the Press Association stated that the withdrawals totalled 2i million marks, or about .£125,000. RETURNING TO THE FATHERLAND. Sydney, September 7. Five Germans have loft Broken Hill, declaring that they were' reservists, and had been officially recalled home. The German Consul states that there is not much significance in the fact of the recall. There are only from three to five hundred reservists in Australia.
