Tho Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., Allen Street, will sell by miction at 10 a.m. to-day a shipment of Nelson green peas and other farm products. The West Coasters will hold their fifth annual social in the Sydney Street Ilall on Monday, the 11th instant. Tho committee have spared no expense and troublo to mako tho function a great success. There will be _ a very attractive sale of building material (including 250 sheets of corrugated iron, doors, windows, and high-pressuro boiler, ctc.), in Taranaki Street to-morrow, when Messrs. Brand and Johnston will offer the above, together v.-ith a.large quantity of totara, matai, and l'iniu. The sale starts at 11 a.m.,. and will bo absolutely without reserve. Miss Spencer (for many years associated with the D.1.C.) has started business on her own account in rooms over tho Wellington Piano Co., Lamhton Quay. Hiss Spencer intends to conduct a select registry office and also a novelty room. Messrs.
