THE NIZAM OF HYDERABAD. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Calcutta, August 29. Tho death of tho Nizam of Hyderabad is announced.
His late Highness tho Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab .Mir Sir Jlnhul AH Khan, Bahadur Jntli Jung, Asaf Jail, Muzaffar-ul-Mnmalik, Nizam-ul-Mulk, Nizam-itl-Daula, G.C.8., G.C.5.1., was the premier prince of India. He was born in ISCG, ami succeeded his father in ISO!). In 18SJ was installed by Lord Eipon and assumed charge of his Government. The late Nizam in 1687, on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Jubilee, made an offer to tlip Viceroy of pecuniary aid for frontier defence, which led to the organisation of the Imperial Service Corps now maintained by several native chiefs. In 1000 he paid a visit to the Viceroy at Calcutta, being tho first Nizam to leave his own dominions. Tho visit was returned by Lord Curzon in-1902. A QUEENSLAND POLITICIAN. (Bee.
