CLERKS FORM A UNION,
As Mr. G. G. Farland, secretary of the Merchants' Assistants' Union, nanus notified tho Minister for Labour at the recent deputation, that it was not the intent ion to include .clcrts employed at llio wholesale (housesniinil .stores.,, (though clerks are, included in the- demands of tho Merchants' Assistants' Union, and provided for in tho rules of that body), the clerks have met. and decided to form a union of (heir own under the provisions of the Intlustri.il Conciliation and Arbitration Act. The meeting was presided over by Mr. G. ,T. Hall (of Levin and Co.'s).
