SUPPOSED PORTUGUESE PLOTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, August -"■ Secretan and Company aro the owners of the, steamers detained at Barrow and Grfivcsend, with war material on board. A third steamer, named the Salop, belonging to the company, sailed on July 30 for Buenos Ayrcs. The nature of her cargo is not known. Several newspapers make a suggestion connecting the embargoed steamers with Royalist projects in Portugal. A "DAILY MAIL" REPORT. (Bee. August 28, 9.d0 p.ni.) London, August 28. Tho '"Daily Mail" states that the steamers Foam Queen and Arizona wcro arrested on information received from a South American Republic. The names of the. vessels were previously given as tho Arizona and Sf.a Foam. There .are several vesselswith these names, none of them, however, are shown as belonging to Mio firm of Secretan and Go. ' •
