OBITUARY.
BRITISH LIBERAL JI.P. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, August 27. The death is announced of Dr. A'. R. Rainy, Liberal member for Kilmarnock Burghs.
Mr. Adam Rolland Rainy was a son of the lale Presbyterian leader. Principal Rainy, and Susan, only child of Mr. Adam Rolland, of Gask. Ho was bom in Glasgow in ISG2; was educated at tho Edinburgh Academy and the University of Edinburgh, and subsequently at Berlin aud Vienna; and was by profession a surgeon-oculist. Ho lived in Australia and New Zealand, but settled in London, where' lie became an elder of tho Marylebone Presbyterian Church .and a member of tho Presbyterian Synod.
