VARIOUS MUNICIPAL MATTERS.

The application of the Workshops Cricket Club for the uso of a cricket pitch on the Recreation Ground was referred to the Ground Committee. It' was agreed that the Petonc Ambulance Van Committee should have the use of the Recreation Ground on September 2 for a benefit football match, and be permitted to charge for admission. . . '•'■,.. In view of certain representations which had been made to the council with regard to the license fees payable under the recently-dratted by-laws relating to the sale of milk, it was resolved that a uniform fee of 2s.
