(Before Jtr. W. G. Riddell, S.Jf.) PHYLLIS FERRARO, IDLER, Phvllis Ferraro was.charged with being an idle and disorderly person in that she had no lawful riieans of support. After the police evidence had been heard, accused protested that she had been working for the last ten weeks. His Worship said that the evidence was against her, and asked if she would go to the Salvation Army Homo. "No, thank you," she replied. "Very well," said his Worship, "convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment." PANE BROKEN. Richard Shields was fined £1, and ordered to pay 10s. damages, for breaking a pane of glass in the boardinghouse of Daniel Cronin. Tho police said that Shiolds got up during the night aud broke the window. OTHER MATTERS. Rodrick Jlathieson was sentenced to one mouth's imprisonment for drunkenness, and was convicted of breaking a prohibition order. Henry Edward was fined £2 foi breaking his prohibition order. William Jlolloy was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for disobedience of a maintenance order, the sentence to be suspended as long as he paid ss. per week off the arrears. The arrears had accumulated to .£sl 19s. 6d., but they were reduced to be regarded as .£lO arrears. Louie Jlabel Johnstone was fined ,£1 for disobedience of a maintenance order.
