$. —i — Messrs. Dalgcty and Co.' report :-At our fortnightly salo of wool, skins, hides, ana tallow yesterday afternoon, we offered n. good catalogue of all classes to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was exceedingly keen for all good lines of woo and skins submitted. r.nd .prices realised woro firm on a par with last sale rates. Hides woro not quite bo keenly sought altor, and prices were slightly easier on la.o quotations. Levin and Company, Limited, report:—Wo held our fortnightly salo yesterday, when wo offered 40 bales of wool, 25C0 sheepskins, 650 hides, and'calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool: Market steady. Good crutchings, 53d. to 6Jd.; medium crutchiugs, sd. to S!d.; seedy and inforior crutchings, 3Jd. to 13d.; medium crossbred, 7(1. to BJd.; inferior crossbred, 6id. to 7d.; pieces and bellies, Sd. to 5Jd.; locks, 3?.d.t0 4id. Skins: Keen competition at last sale rates. Halfbreds and line crossbreds, (3d. to 75d.; medium and coarse, 6d. to 63d.; dead skins. 6d. to 53d.; quarter to half-wools, 4Jd. to 53d.; dead hoggets, 4d. to 5Jd.; dry pelts, Hid. to Is. 3d.; green skins, 3s. 7d. to, 7s. 6d. lallow; Steady. Hides: Strong demand for all grades with the exception of heavies, which were a rarthing to a halfpenny easier. Messrs. Murray, Tioberts and Co., Ltd., report:—Wc submitted a catalogue of 51 bales of wool, 53C0 skins and 6W hides to a large attendance of buyers, who bid freely and with considerable animation. Sheepskins especially were strongly sought after, and prieos realised may bo considered to be on tho level of late rates. The wool was mostly crutchings, tho majority of lots being coarso and in heavy condition, more or less affected with seed. Tho hides forward showed a want of r.nro in their treatment, and wore bad'iy conditioned in consequence. We had no really superior lots catalogued, and prices realised arc very full value.
