« JOINT CONTROL OP THE NEW HEBRIDES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, August 25. The Rev. Mr. Paton, the weli-known missionary, and Dr. Bowie, superintendent of the AmUrim Hospital, have arrived hero from tho New Hebrides. They both state that the Anglo-French Condominium is a howling farce and a failure. The British keep tho law, but tho French do not. Both, agree that none of tho previous reports are in any way exaggerated. The Entente Cordialo is a humbug so far as tho New Hebrides are concerned. The residents call tho Court at Vila a bazaar, go there for amusement, take lunch, and stay all day. Dr. Bowio is going direct to the British Foreign Office with a definite charge, supported by documents.
